Do you hate it if you ding your guitars?

I don't mind honest wear on my guitars. On my DC747c I actually wore a divet into it just below the high E string between the pickups. I practiced a lot on that guitar and apparently my finger wore through the finish and deep into the maple cap. That's what alternate picking will do to a guitar.

I do get kinda bent when someone (me) or something damages my fiddles by accident. At gigs I'd be all up on stage guarding my shit during the breaks. I didn't want the bobbly headed drunk go near my axe start thinking he was Jimi Hendrix.
