While the amps of the week come and go... I'm betting most of you still love the tone of a boosted Marshall. I grew up with the overdriven Marshall tone and for me it's still the ideal tone. Anyone else agree with me on this or is this thinking old and faded?

i still boost my marshall, i use a 2555sl and od808 and it sounds damn good. i have owned alot of amps but i like this setup more than most.

i boosted my ceriatone chupa with a suhr riot today.it didn't need any boost.

but i did boost my Marshall VM with the riot, and it sounded great!

And you know tone. You have a collection I could only dream of owning! Hope all is well buddy.

I absolutely love the boosted marshall tone, or even the unboosted marshall tone! Its one of my favorite amps.

100 watt Super lead with a boost still is the way to go. Every time I plug into that set up .....I have a huge smile!

Played most amps out there and my 1979 JMP Marshall boosted with a SD-1 is by far the best tone i have ever heard.....

We think the same with amps (avatar) except yours is on a cab and mine is on a slab of concrete!

I loves me some SD-1 boosted Marshall awesomeness.

Im left in the dust with my tsl, i cant wait to get rids of it,i have a duel and triple rec. ,they never break, eat tubes or blow fuses, guess im lucky there, tsl has not been good to me,i bought in 2000,worst purchase of my life, whats it worth now, 600 ,650 0n a good day? but yeah my bro has a old jcm800, sounds much better boosted, he wanted my dual rec. until i plugged a od9 and a decimator in it...any how yayyyyyyy for all you that found your sound, although im happy to

Considering a similar post went up just this week about 800's and a boost.. I'd say yes.

I also have an 800 that I boost. Like going between that and my Randall Lynch box.
