i was wondering if i can get anything that when i kick on the distortion on my amp it will also activate my distortion pedal and noise gate, since i use both distortions at the same time i need a noise gate to control the feedback, when i play clean the noise gate hinders the tone on the clean channel BIG TIME......so does anything like this exist?

If your amp is midi, you can get a midi switcher, with / and looper. There are a few pedal switchers, non-midi, that can turn different loops on/off with one button push (Carl Martin Combinator or Octaswitch), but they aren't MIDI, so.

Axess Electronics made the GRX4 with 4 MIDI controlled loops and MIDI in-thru-out. Add a Tech21 MIDI Mouse, select the program, sends the change to the GRX4 which will turn any of the loops on/off and send the message to the amp to turn the distortion on or off (assuming your amp is MIDI).

CAE has or had someting similar; Rocktron Patchmate Loop 8 MIDI switcher.

Most all of these switchers are rack units.

how do you know if your amp is midi, i dont know what that means. I have a peavey xxx.

The XXX isn't MIDI. Get the CFX4 and GRX4. Then, get some sort of MIDI controller, and you're good to go.

couldn't an RJM RG-16 and an RJM Mastermind do all of this very easily?

If your amp isn't MIDI, you can make it MIDI with this.

Is Axess up and running again? They've been down for a while. I think Mario is coming back on the 14th, but are they producing things right now?

The site is up, so I can only assume they're doing business right now.

Yup, site was up about two weeks ago.

I'm sure you could list a plethora of products that could do what he's looking for. ;)

I just got an email back from Mario, the RX2 still isn't ready. Been looking into this for months and months. I was under the impression that when the site went back up the new products would be ready. So I'm confused. Strange? Oh well...

after looking around.....wouldnt the octaswitch be the cheapest way to do this? and by only buying one unit as opposed to midi controllers and swithcers?

You mentioned turning on your amps distortion. I don't know if the OctaSwitch will work controlling your amp settings? If you just want to control pedals in loops, it would be fine.

What do you use to remote switch your amp settings?

yeah... i thought of that this morning. I just use the footswitch that came with the amp, so is that what the midi controller would do?

The unit controlling your pedals would also change channels on your amp, rendering the amp`s footswitch obsolete :D

The octaswitch would change the channels on my amp? cause as of now i have nothing controlling my pedals.

Don`t know about the Octa, but the other units mentioned here should do it.

yeah... i just dont feel like spending $1000+ to avoid kicking a few switches
