Does Gibson make an F-Spaced version of the 500T?

Yeah? Is that pretty close to an F-Spaced pickup then?

According to DiMarzio website it is:

"How do I know which spacing to use?
F-spaced pickups measure 2.01" (51 mm) center-to-center from the first polepiece to the sixth. Standard-spaced pickups measure 1.90" (48 mm). ...."

Which I guess means the difference of about 1.5mm at the extremes between F-spaced and normal...not huge is it?

Bro, I see you have a MADIEN icon, much props to that...therefore I must tell you the 500T blows!!!!!!!! I mean I have heard some of the true greats make it sound truly GREAT!!!!!!! but let's face it, let's own up to it.

To each his own man. I've owned a bunch of Explorers with the 500T and think it sounds great.

I figure since it works well in the huge all mahogany Explorers, it would be similar in that huge all mahogany Angelus HGS.

It's more guitar-specific, since each cut of wood can sound quite different irrespective of the type of wood it is (let alone how the other design factors of the guitar model contribute to the sound). I don't even look for specific wood types when buying guitars; I just try a lot of guitars and buy the one that sounds the best to me at the time, and usually it's a guitar I never expected to like (such as the Ibanez SZ320 I got last year, that sounded way better than 8 others I'd tried at the time). So I would never say "X pickup always sounds good in mahogany" or "Y pickup sounds bad in maple" etc.
