Does this amp exist?

Hi,

I'm down sizing due to no longer getting out to play much these days (just the odd pub/club gig), old age lol and moving to a smaller place.

Amps that are probably going include 5150, Dual Rec, Marshall 2061x and a Divided By 13 BTR 23. I'm not sure of selling the BTR23 - I will if I can find an amp that can cover as much tonal ground as possible, from my Texas Blues through to heavier rock. The amp will need to be portable (prefer a combo, but a head and 212 will do) and have at least two channels and enough gain so that I don't have to mess around with ODs and distortion, may be only a boost / tubescreamer.

The MV will need to be good too, as I will use this amp at home and don't wanna p*ss of the neighbours.

I was thinking a MkV combo, but any other suggestions?
 
I heard a Fender ToneMaster that sounded pretty good, it was through a 4x12, but I think they have a 2x12 cab too.
 
5150III 50w with 1x12 or 2x12. Don't know if you can get any more versatile. Remember, it is a totally different amp from your Peavey 5150.
 
I'd vote for a Suhr PT-100 and a matching 2x12" cab.
 
I'd probably go with something like a GSP1101 and Mesa 20/20 to a 1x12. Frankly the amp I turn on the most often for living room playing when the girl is around is a Fender Mustang 2.
 
Marshall Jubilee 2554 1x12 combo...killer little amp. And collectable..
 
Diezel Herbert ran in stereo with a Bogner Twin Jet through two 412 cabs.

That seems like an odd suggestion for several reasons:
1. They aren't made anymore
2. They didn't make that many of them to begin with so they're no longer easy to find
3. He's downsizing and getting rid of other heads, and the Tonemaster is on the heavy side
4. He's no longer regularly gigging...the Tonemaster is a LOUD amp that doesn't give up the good stuff at normal "home" volumes

That said, it's a grossly underrated amp that sounds absolutely fantastic (although a bit bright)...it's the closest I've ever come to coveted VHII tone. Both the 2x12 and 4x12 cabs are some of the best sounding that I've ever come across.

If you want a cool SS amp, check out the Blackstar ID series. They have this cool feature where they can model different power amp valves.
