Got my Custom 58' set in my Tremonti - FUCKING AWESOME PICKUPS! If you're thinking about a new set get with Joce @ Dominger. He was great to work with and walked me through all the details of a few of his sets. Made 'em from scratch to my specs. And for a helluva lot less than other custom builders.

Hotter than a PAF, nice grind. Coil tapped sounds GREAT!!!! Usually they just sound so thin and shitty but these are actually usable. Neck is really smooth, tons of great singing notes. Great clean tones. Just a lot of fun!

Check him out!

I love mine. I stumbled across their site by seeing someone rave about them in another guitar group and was not disappointed. They're still comparable in price to Dimarzio or Duncans and are hand wound and have a unique sound and feel to them. The Rider neck pickups I use now are the best I've ever found for what I want. Clear and sweet with no mud at all, full but bright, almost in the single coil range on the top but still sweet and definitely a hot humbucker. I have a couple of Rising Sun bridge pickups he did for me but I'm keeping those in guitars I do metal with. They're perfect for metal rhythm. Bright with no mud but a sweet top end, killer attack. No need for a TS to tighten up the rhythm with those, at all. They're such a small company that Joce, the designer walks you through everything. Pretty cool!

Amazing how quick threads get buried 5 pages back on this site.. I just checked out the line up, some interesting stuff there for sure. Right now I mainly use an aldrich in the bridge and a JB with alnico 2 in the bridge of another guitar. What would be along those lines? I like a tight low end but softer on top for leads...

The single coils peaked my interest as well.. great price on those and I am looking for two singles to chuck in a strat right now as well.

Hey, do you fellas have an email address for the owner? I see i can be added to a mailing list under contact but I want to ask him a question about the stinger II and single shot.

You can reach Joce at snakebitejoce@gmail.com There is a link on the page somewhere on the page for an alternate email through the site, i think, though. Not sure which ones would be best for you but he's really good with going back and forth on suggestions until you nail down what you're looking for.

Snakebitejoce@gmail.com is the one he used when I was working with him. Super nice guy and really knows his product. He went out of his way to describe all the subtle differences between several of his pickups. I'll def be a return customer, the custom 58 set I put in my Tremonti are awesome!
