If you are a low volume bedroom wanker like me…. Rewiring my rig and with nothing in the loop and all my boosts hitting the front end…. It goes from speaking volume to loud as fuck… there’s nothing in between. It does this with nothing hitting the front so boosted or not-doesn’t matter. I’m probably going back to making this my primary just so I can semi tame it with the Mxr 10 band. Nice amp though…. Really that’s my only gripe with it. I can get it heavy as fuuuccckkkk…..not really what these SuperDrive series are known for…. Anyway carry on…

Get yourself a Fryette PS2A. Does a great job attenuating my 69 Plexi SL. Can also be a re amp, power amp for another preamp, and a loop to be used on an amp without one.

Buddas cannot be tamed, my child. They are wild and cannot be broken. They are the black stallions of the tube amp world. It is folly to think that a mere mortal can control an amp that is pure chaos with a single volume knob, a controlled explosion if you will.

If you want to have a great amp with a good master volume, get a 3rd Power. If you want to kick all the ass and take all the names, get a Budda.

My Rivera Thirty Twelve combo is the same way. You'd think a thirty watt amp would be able to play relatively quietly, but not really. There is a tiny twat hair of range between where the volume goes from off to really-fucking-loud.

Wait. You saying your Wet Wet Moist rig isn't quiet enough?
Wet Wet Drowned, more like.

Also a silent recording load box, an impedance matcher, and a power amp distortion effects pedal (in self-attenuation mode).

With the Mxr in the loop and the output and gain sliders at minimum it’s good for the most part. I’m going to experiment with a couple things as far as slaving the rec, running in stereo…. Or technically mono/mono with the rectifier. Plus I have a couple other things to try also. The Randall diavlo is a neat little thing to play around with also. Might do something with it and the 6505+… hmmmmmm…. Mono/mono/mono/mono….or wet/wet/kinda wet/dry….🤔

I warned you! I had the 18 watt Superdrive and it was insane.
Try a volume pedal in the loop.

It is insane loud. I feel like mine is missing some girth, though. More like an insane flying buzzsaw. Could be also cause I play it through EVs…
