I listen to these pros play amps like this, with more low end dialed in than I would ever have myself, and still, it sounds pretty good. It's always down to the player, isn't it? It makes me wonder about my own tone choices, dammit. Time to go fiddle with the knobs on my new Marsha, try and make her scream - or at least moan a bit.

I love doug's playing as that clips showed why, but I did not like his tone. I have played and heard other clips of the VM and love the amp.

I must love shit tone - this demo clip is what sparked my interest in the VM and the reason I purchased mine. I love that fat ass tone and his playing on this.

One of my all time favorite amps. I actually sold my first one for a 5153 only to regret it. I now have the VM for all my Marshall needs and a 5150II for more modern needs. The VM when boosted kills IMO. Mine needs new tubes in the worst way though. Lots of noise. Prolly a preamp tube. Here are a few low volume clips of mine
