Doug is awesome. I started picking up a lot of his tunes since before he started endorsing Engl amps. I love his style and he has a great sense of rhythm. Him and Joe Bonamassa both have their own hybrid EJ style type thing going on. You don't have to even mention Vinnie Moore because anyone who listened to shred from back in the early 80's Sharpnel days should have the entire Vinnie collection. Vinnie is the best and STILL makes some of today's best players look mediocre.
He's one of my fav players at the moment, he's got mad skills, but equal amounts of tasty feeling goodness in there with it. He also has enough of a vocabulary that he can play in the style of whatever best suites the amp he's playing or testing, which very few can pull off
He's my favourite player out there at the minute! I received my Ss100 only yesterday that I had to have since seeing h S demo.... Jesus, what skills all round... Not a onetrick pony either, check out Wish upon a star on Bionic!!
Hea d in an interview with Doug that the album was recorded on a pod too. Skills indeed
