So this guy Moshe I sold one of my IIC++ to used to work @ ESP & teched a couple of my guitars, so we stayed in touch. He just put together this drop-in 24v mod for EMGs. Check it out. In the room it un-compresses the tone, and I do think it records better. I think it does soften the attack a touch..? Also had a guy in another forum show testing he did with an 18V mod that actually showed his recorded stems with way more resolution. Interesting stuff. Anyway, I did a vid and thought you guys would want to check it out.

I can hear the difference. 24v is less compressed.

Also, nice Vandenhul cables. I use them as well.
 
Thanks, I agree. The voltage really opens up the top end of the sound. I bet it would make a lot of EMG haters take a second look.

I have a couple VanDenHul cables. They are amazing!! I never would have imagined spending that kind of coin on a cable until I tried one & A/Bd it.
