DSL40C + Greenback 25w, anyone here tried this combination?

I've acquired a DSL40c with Slash mods (#34 and AFD), so not your typical DSL40c.

Right now it has installed a 16 ohm V30. I have a spare G12M 25W Greenback to try out.

Is it safe to run a 25w speaker into a 40w amp? Im using both MV between 1 and 1.5/10 so the amp delivers around 8w at max.

Yeah, it'll sound great. That amp probably hits 25watts output at around 4-5 on the master.
Keep the volume reasonable, and you'll be fine.
Slash is a V30 guy, so you might prefer the amp the way it is now, but no harm in checking it out for yourself.
If you like the greenback tone, but want to play arenas and stadiums, you could consider the G12-M65 creamback.
