Dual mono Rectoverb q

Using the slave out from my Rectoverb...works wonderfully.


If I turn the amp to stdby...the Slave quits.

Normal? How would I use the slave out without running a cab at the same time?

Some sort of load box?

Thd Hotplate/Palmer ADIG_LB/Koch Loadbox..

Or just run a line out from the loop and turn the master down...

but still....is this normal? The manual says in order to run the slave without a cabinet...set to standby...


I have a cabinet...just wanting to see what it sounds like with an EL34 power section.

The manual said that the signal is derived from the speaker jack.
I`d believe the speaker jack loses signal when the standby button is off.

There MAY be some kind of signal from the effects send even if the amp is on standby, but I`d call Mesa and ask before I tried it.

Why not just get a duet of EL34`s and flick the switch on the rear side if you want to hear it with an EL34 power stage?

Otherwise, I believe you have to do the load box trick. Unless someone who have owned the amp themselves know more

I'm running this head into a Carvin Legacy B cab with V30's and T75's...and the slave out is going into the fx return of my Twister F3 into a Marshall B cab with all T75's. It sounds lovely...

Because the slave signal seems to be derived from the power amp signal, that you turn off with the standby

And I was under the impression that the slave out was preamp dependent...not power amp dependent...
