I agree with you to a point. It is disappointing to check out an amp clip and find it is an "in the room" phone clip. However, the one i saw the other day translated because it wasnt overly bloated and dark..

I actually made one the other day. I was playing fucking loud and you can hear it in the first riff how loud it was before youtube caught on to compression. But it translated ok.



But even this would have translated better micd

Agreed but I don’t mind the rawness or the “in the room sound” lol sometimes it in a weird way it lets you gauge the low end in a different manner. I actually enjoy when Ola would bounce back & forth between the room sound vs close mic sound. In a perfect world we would all be in the same room to experience the true rawness of these beautiful amps.

i think those 2 live shows with the larries are not lessons (at least i hope they are not).
the pentatonic LESSON thing was a fun watch, he got a special vibe for sure!

I like iPhone clips best . I have an iPhone . I know how my amps actually sound with it . Then when I hear iPhone clips I know what I’m hearing . I’m ok with it . Especially for now . I mean the best clips I like best are Jeremy’s iPhone clips . This will not be liked but the Amos I have do not sound like any clips I’ve heard with recording gear . Most of the time their recording signal makes ever clip sound the same by differbt amps . Take Reza or Kyle Bull . It’s a cool tone but their recording makes every clip sound the same . I’m going to do mic clips when I get computer really becasue you giys would rather hear it . No computer atm at all. Mine gone

You missed the point I guess . Most of my followers like my playing and don’t care about my gear . It’s a live where we shoot the shit . That’s a live is . It’s not lesson or a video . It’s a hangout

I wasn’t even sure what video that was 😂 I thought it was one of his theory videos so that’s on me. Regardless I’m cool with ghetto fab. iPhone videos or those who decide to mic their cab with a Sony c800G..

also got no working audio interface for years now (no drivers available for the old one with my current PC).
Yeah it's hard to capture an amps room sound. The speaker-mic combo is such a huge percentage of the sound...
