Dumb question about stereo rig

Is there a way to utilize the stereo options on a guitar pedal without having two amps? I know it is not the same but can you do any type of stereo rig with one amp and a 2x12? Can you Ping Pong between speakers, etc?

you don't need to unless you're actually running in stereo. it doesn't do anything for you at all unless you're playing with 2 amps, thats why its not a selling point of most pedals.

You can, if use a stereo power amplifier, like a rack unit, and your cab have 2 inputs (pre out -pedal - R/L power amp). Is still useful for chorus, but ping-pong delays not so much.
