Anyone have any experience with these.......good or bad ?

I picked one up cheap and will be dropping it in the bridge of my Tele tonight. Just wondering what to expect.

No first hand experience, but I've heard that they are real fat and thick sounding. Not sure how it is for noise though, being a SC and all.

I have thought many times about dropping one into a tele but have not done it yet. Report back.

very noisy and hot!

What this guy said. I have em in my strat. Haven't played it in awhile.

Also, I believe Hank Shermann used one in his strat on In The Shadows

Just popped it in an played for awhile. I REALLY like it. Just for kicks, I also threw in a Hot Rails that I had laying around that I picked up in a trade a long time ago. I did this first so I could compare the two. Sounded killer.........but not like a Tele anymore. The midrange also peeled my face back.

So in went the QP. Nice, fat, and chewy but kept the general Tele sound. I did have to back it pretty far off the strings to get it sounding like I wanted. Its a keeper  I have nothing to do tonight so I might put up some clips later.

These were stock in one of the Blackmore signature strats (first version I think) I was wanting to check them out because he uses them, well I got to crank up that strat in the store and they did sound good but they were super noisy, the clean sounded great though.

I've had them in several guitars, and like them alot! Very nice if you want to retain REAL single-coil tone without loosing output.

I have one in a strat. I was hoping for more of a p-90ish sound, and to me it really sounds like a slightly noisy humbucker. It could at least hold up w/ my other HB equipped guitars though. It's not a bad thing...just wasn't what I was looking for.
