...and Hendrix's lighter-fluid-on-fire-famed Strat!! Not bad, folks...not bad at all :D

It is the Hendrix strat, but he's changed the neck, pickguard, pickups, and bridge. Just the body looks to be the same. Very cool.

Careful. I bought mine for effects only and it's wickedly good at so much more!! I'm still not sure why I'm having a hard time saying 'screw the big rigs', maybe it's just imbedded into me that I need hooge-toobs to get my sound and power. Maybe this is a form of evolutionary resistance. Maybe it's a sign I'm too old. Maybe... Well, whatever the reason is that I'm holding onto my big rigs, it's certainly not because the Ultra isn't as good or better than what they're capable of.

There, I said it.

Yep. Frank had it stashed under the staircase of their home or in some off side place in the former UMRK... Pulled it out, rebuilt it, and there it is.

Kinda sweet man, SO much musical history on that stage!!

ok I know there is a bunch of $$$ on stage, bass player is rocking $500 v4 heads, that is cool

...the Axe-Fx Ultra and a million other items hooked into his rig.

Very cool. That guitar has gots lotz and lotz of history. ...

Dweezil just keeps getting better!! I mean, the cat hasn't plateaued YET in his styles or abilities, and he plays a LOT. I swear he's got more tricks up his sleeve than pretty well anyone else out there... I'm not going to compare him with the speed of a Vai or Friedman, but I will say, stylistically, he's got more range IMHO.

I love watching him play, you can see his love for music is very apparent, and no showboating... Total repsect.

Cool..... but slow the fuck down. The song doesn't need all the wanking. Keep it killer classic chops Dwezil!

I did think it was pretty sterile and boring, yuppy rock to me, I don't know, just my opion

guitar sounded great ! lead was great ! but yes have to agree with Jeff about keeping it classic, but i guess its just one of those talk show things no?

Wonder why he didn't use his PRS sig?! I thought it sounded great.

Please accept my official welcome to the Dark Side :D

I keep both types of rigs around (and love them) but I could easily live with just the Axe. Easily.

I am completely amazed by this piece of techno wizardry. And I bought it with the staunch belief that "NO WAY" would this "thing" take over my amps... No way!! I'll just use it as an effects module... How very, very wrong I was. Ya ya, I'm keeping my rigs, especially my latest love the Mak4/Fryette/Fryette rig - thing's bloody amazing. But jaaaaayzeus!! How the HELL did they DO this with the Axe?!?!? And it goes f'n DEEP man!! I mean - mics, transformers, sag... WTF!?!?!?!

Hooked

Yep. I think it helped that the first time I tried one, Cliff and Tom ran me through all kinds of their patches, and answered all sorts of questions for me; created a very favorable first impression.

I'll tell you that I haven't tweaked it in at least a year and a half; I've had four presets, and have been very happy.

That's about to change, so now I actually have to remember how to use the damn thing  :D

Sorry, tone wise I was not impressed and has nothing to do with what he used cause I have heard him use the axefx before with better results. Should have went with a plexi type patch.

Massive man points for bringing the Jimi guitar out though!
