Hey Guys,
When you want to get the perfect thing for your birthday you sometimes have to buy it for yourself...
I acquired this original hardwired Bogner stack from my buddy Rob at Tone Merchants out of his personal collection, last time i was out in North Hollyood and it just showed up today just in time to be a badass birthday present to myself.
This started life as a blackface Fender Princeton Amp that Reinhold Bogner totally redid back in the early 1990's. He used to use the Princeton's as an early canvas for his designs just like Randall Smith at Mesa did and countless others. They were high quality, back then relatively inexpensive and sounded amazing.
You can see a full article on Reinholds early Fender mods in last month Vintage Guitar magazine which is a cool read:

This amp is totally tricked out. The head has a clean side with a toggle between blackface Fender and Vox tone. It has a foot switchable dirty channel which is the 100B Blue channel circuit. It also has a gain boost on both channels. Excursion on the back as well as added tone controls. The two Cabs are 2x10 each loaded with Scumbacks.
At 30 watts this is the perfect club gigging machine and sounds amazing. It was original commissioned by Matte Henderson who also has the amp featured in the VG article above. I am glad to have it in my stable and any of the RT family is welcome to come by the shop and try it out.
A really special Bogner that sounds and looks amazing!
email from Reinhold on the amp...
hey Brad,
happy birthday. this amp is one of a kind and was done in the 90's. Matte has had two custom amps built by me if i remember correctly and sold them and then bought them back and sold this one again a while back. the other big brother was reviewed some issues back in vintage guitar mag. i love the new spot you picked for her, properly protected by our friend.
cheers,
