Early Uberschall (#153)

Just got this in yesterday. Rev Blue is about to hit the market. Fantastic sounding amp, the Blue, but this early model fits my style better. I would consider the Rev Blue more lead friendly, and I am a shitty lead player

I would rather keep the headshell from the blue. It has the comet tolex matching my Uberkab. Should be identical dimensions, yes? Also, will post the Blue in the classifieds here and give a better deal if anyone here buys it (as opposed to the Reverb/eBay option).

Very nice, it is a monster. Check the Bogner section if you have not already, There is a ton of info about that amp regarding the way the settings work and all of that.

IMO the Blue would have been the perfect amp if they kept the tone of the greens. The extras on the blue like line levels for the Loop are really nice but we know it is all about that tone.

I agree with you. The Blue is still a damn fine amp, and they aren't miles apart from each other. But the feel on this old one is just perfect for me. I bet if I were more of a lead player, I might lean more toward the Blue because it does seem to have more cut to it. The early one sounds a bit wider and darker. But with the right settings, I can get the Blue to get very close...in a live mix nobody would be able to tell the difference. But, alas, I do not play live anyway

Congrats brother! My rev green is one of my prized possessions. It's a lifer amp for me. Tried the rev blue but the rev green just fits my style better. Tried the Twinjet and it was good but this rev green is simply brutal. Good luck on the sale of the blue.
