I swear I remember seeing a translucent white one but cannot find any info about it anywhere.

I am obsessed with Blues lead tone....he has such a unique sound!
bTw I love the Axis.....had #251 of the original run that the king autographed. Times were tuff with kids way back when...sold it. Damn

I owned a translucent Gold for a few years. Absolutely love the look of them, hands downs the best of Ed's "Wolf" designs but I could never bond with the neck. I still think they are some of the finest looking guitars around. Classic body design that stands right there with the strat, paul, tele etc... And always had it hard for that translucent purple.

That purple is gorgeous. There is a purple modern Axis in purple with gold hardware and a roasted maple neck at my local GC. I wanted it, but not $4k wanted it.

That's the main complaint about these is the neck being too small.

Those are on clearance for $3K. I bought one. Phenomenal guitar. I am hooked.

Bought an early 1996 production Axis from a recording engineer in 2018 for $800. Guitar came with an original G&G case, probably a leftover after the EVH model production was stopped.

Limited worldwide production: 120 Gold; 100 each: Black, Pink, Purple, Blue and Red.

The fret dress on the EBMM guitars are the best in the business and the rolled neck fretboard edges so comfortable:love:, if only they went to a 12" radius and jumbo frets I'd buy another in a heartbeat...

The neck profile is a nice assymetrical C shape, I didn't find the neck small but I grew to not like the 10" radius fretboard but I still played the hell out of that guitar, I loved it, as it replaced my # 1 Kramer at the time.

I guess most Axis guitars are 0.820" at the 1st fret and 0.913" at the 12th fret according to what i could find.

EBMM Kaizen (own 5) and Majesty (own 3) are my top fav guitars.

Are they forbidden to put the switch back on the lower horn, or was moving it a EBMM choice?

You have a lifetime offer of $800 from me for this guitar. I'm 54, so the clock is ticking.
