eBay bids suddenly disappearing?

I have an item for auction that ha sat at around $450 with 60 bids for the past couple days, and this morning I wake up and it's down to $130 with 40 bids. What the heck happened there? Has eBay made it simple to recall bids now? I remember having to leap through far too many hoops to remove a bid on item a year back. Bah... annoying.

That's because the bids were retracted. You can only do it so many times before eBay suspends your account though. The suspension is usually 30 days or maybe even less.

I stopped doing auction style listing for a while now. It avoids a lot of headaches. And select instant payment to. No waiting around for a week to get paid.
Also something to take into consideration. Auction style listings will cost you more in final value fees. Fixed pricing is cheaper.
eBay thinking is you could get more for you item and they want to be sure they get every dime. If you get less. Oh well. They always win.

Yea I started doing a high Buy It Now but with the make an offer option.
