I'm thinking I would like to get a EBMM guitar and this seems interesting...

Looking at the HH model and I want a rosewood EBMM as well, just don't know if the pickups are something I would dig... They do sound good in the videos I have seen for rock stuff

Thanks

G.

Those Transition pickups are some of best I've ever heard. They are so clear yet not sterile sounding at the same time. I have a rosewood neck HH model myself.

fantastic guitar and the pickups can do brilliant clean tones, rock tones, even metal tones with ease.

it's not bad - all personal taste. My Suhr has 1 11/16 so that's what I'm used to, the one i had was equipped with Rosewood Neck, was a comfy profile - the string spacing didn't bug me.

I had a Tom Anderson Tele with a 1 5/8 and it was not bad...

I had an older PRS with some super narrow string spacing/narrow nut and I hated it...

the Luke has a nice soft v neck shape that's a little fuller in the hand than some other EBMM guitars. It's a nice guitar...try it if you can
the pickups are really really good.

I have an American deluxe V-neck strat that I love to death.

Cool thanks for your input...

Completely agree! Just bought a used Charvel SoCal where the previous owner put a set of Transitions in. I was ready to yank them out until I plugged in and gave them a fair shake. I grew up on Super D's and have used just about everything over the years. Been using Suhr Aldrich pickups in my main guitars more recently.

Absolutely love the bridge Transition. It's ceramic and I found it kinda' takes everything that's cool about the Super Distortion and mixes it with a slightly-hot PAF flavor. Tight, clear lows and highs that are more on the crisp and less on the 'rounded' side of things, which I tend to prefer. Cleans up to a nice Tele-ish spank with the volume back a little. I love the Super D, and while it has its own character (love or hate it), it's not necessarily an overly-versatile pickup. The Transition has the character and versatility. Definitely going to try them out in a few other guitars.

The neck is a little dark/warm sounding for me for cleaner tones, but it may just need an adjustment. Could be the guitar too. For volume-all-the-way-up solos, it sounds fantastic.

I bought one a few weeks ago and love it so much.

For what I needed its about the most versatile guitar around and the push knob booster is a massive plus too.

My setup is LIII/Axe2/CLR and its so cool to go from a great acoustic tones to chunky rhythms to screaming solo tones all using the same guitar.

Couldn't be happier. It's put a Nash Strat and EMG Luke BFR in the cupboard.

I almost pulled the trigger 2 days ago. I only held off because I want to play one first.

Play one before you buy. I want to like the lukes but the fingerboards are too cramped indeed. I don't think I could ever adapt. Great guitar on paper

Bought one last year. I absolutely hated the pickups, Im obviously going against the grain and general consensus has me in the minority but all my Luke III did was feedback. Using the boost just made it worse. Loved the guitar, loved the neck but the pickups made me dump it just last month. I did try for over a year to get along with it but I could not control the noise I was getting.

I think the neck is smallish as I feel ALL EBMM guitar necks are but, the feel and shape of it still work with my relatively large fingers. I had an older EMG equipped Luke before as well which coincidentally was one of the only guitars I liked EMG's on. I like the Luke III more though.

I think the luke III is the BEST rock guitar that I have ever played. Hands down. It's my go to.

The transition pickups sound fantastic too
