Do any of you guys have a preference on the EBMM Petrucci guitars? Favorites, likes, dislikes, etc?

I've had a couple JP6's and the BFR, with my preference at the BFR, but I'm also looking into the XI, 12 and possibly 13.

I have a XI that I picked up last year used from GC, it's actually one of my favorite guitars I chose the newer ones only for the more asymmetrical top horn the regular JP6 and the original BFR's never looked right to me. I love the 20" radius and thin neck with the stainless frets it's almost effortless to play I'd love to get a 12 as well.

Pay close attention to the radius on the different models. The XI and 12 have very thin flat necks which are different than the JP6 and BFR necks.

They are beautiful guitars. I had a JP12 7 string for about a year. It was a fantastic instrument. Again, though, the really flat 20" radius kind of threw me at bit. I prefer more of a rounded edge on the fretboard and this one was cut very sharp and would irritate me at a longer gig. I also found that out of all of my guitars, my EBMM units moved more than any of them due to climate change. My other guitars barely move at all in comparison. That being said, it had fantastic sustain and the stainless frets were very well done on it. That middle position with the coils split sound amazing with clean passages. I am a fan of locking trems and while the JP trems are great and work perfectly, I just wasn't a fan.

I ended up selling it without losing too much on it at all, thankfully.

Good to know. Im basically debating on grabbing a BFR or a XI or 12 at the moment and seeing what you guys think.

I own a BFR that I'm actually selling. I prefer the BFR's and the JPX to the regular JP's/XI & 12 due to body shape/fretboard radius. I haven't played a JP13 though, so I can't comment on them. I will say though that I haven't experienced any problem with the BFR's neck moving. The only thing I had to do was have the frets filed by the shop when I bought it because it wasn't properly humidified that winter.

Do people still buy Majestys? I figured they would release a new model for 15, but went back to the 13 shape.

I find the jp15 very interesting, full mahogany body with maple top with roasted maple neck.
