What amp have you settled on?

I've had the same metro built plexi by the guy that has built them like no other I have had, NOS mustards, etc. He just built me another one and that's what I have coming next week.

yep amazing pedal!!!!

we a/b it with a real echo plex and were floored by how close it got to the real thing  now i just need to get some in. Hopefully this week

Cool, Strymon at Tone Merchants. Hopefully the new Damage Control pedals will see more exposure as well.

Yeh I am still surprised in the lack of attention both D.C. and Strymon get here.. But I think that will change in the future..

Are they both going into the front of your amp?

Yes, but they both work in the loop as well. The Strymon will accept a +8db input. The Badgerplex works as well, runs off of either a 12V or 18V adapter, runs internally at 22V, has plenty of headroom.
Can it bring real tears the size of taterz?

Wow...those clips are killer on their website. How many you got coming Rob?

Steve

Ok, I listened to the clips... I'm in.

ARGGGHHHH! - cannot order now! Out of stock

NEED Roland Space Echo in a pedal!

it's in here as well

http://www.strymon.net/products/elcapistan/

WOW!!!!
Just watched the demos - you're right!
This is the first pedal that does the multiple head combination believably.

On the GAS list now!
thanks :aww:

OK, I just messed around with the multi-head setting, sounds friggin' awesome. Randy Rhoads live echo. So many parameters you can mess with.
What version is it?
Does it sound real?

Will trade Stryom el Capistan and cash for your (insert brand here) amp
Fixed it for ya Dan

Me wants, you are right this is the best sounding one yet. Kind of amazing the amount of work and how hard it actually is to copy primitive 70's technology while getting it to sound right.

Hopefully next on the drawing board for them is a Binson Echorec in a box. I want both.

I didn't know this pedal was out yet. Glad to hear it's a keeper. I got to give this one a look.

I'm not familiar with the Binson, but I do recall reading that they said this will do the Binson sound as well.

Here is probably the most popular use of a Binson, its a slightly different animal than a Echoplex as it uses a metal wheel (sort of like a primitive hard drive) instead of tape heads.

Would like to know if you can indeed get this sound of the Strymon too.

Here is a quote I found on HRI after a guy spoke with Strymon:

If it sounds any where close to as good as the brigadier, it's going to slay the tape echo sim contingent. He was telling me it can do a dead nuts Binson Echorec...which was enough for me.

But does it sound as REAL as the Axe fx??
That is the ultimate question!

how could it? it doesn't have as many sub-menus and no shunts
Well if people can't get it dialed in right or they dont like how they sound dialed in.
