Watched a bunch of YouTube videos on budget monitors and the Edifier MR3 kept getting high praise, good top end, bass and mids.
Perfect for my space & sure better than regular computer speakers, this was a "long-time comin" for me!
Last night, out of the box (no guitar), just did some music
listening, Bluetooth mode only, and the app that goes with these monitors did a major firmware update as soon as I downloaded the app and after that started listening to music from my phone
to the monitors
and I'm blown away even before I put them on the acoustic foam pads I got!!!
Next is to hook up them up to the Yamaha MG10/2 mixing console I'm currently using with the included dual RCA to 1/8" TRS cable that Edifier supplied.
I do realize since the included dual RCA to a 1/8" (3.5mm) end is designed for convenience; and that for better noise rejection, a balanced TRS-to-TRS connection is recommended so I have to find an affordable pair of those cables.
