Looks like all they changed was the pickups (now Edwards Legacy and not JB/59’s) and raised the prices up a bit. I don’t know what these sold for last year as I didn’t find out about them until after they paused production. Still, $1300 is a pretty bangin’ price for that level of quality! (And I rarely keep stock pickups) I’m just happy I don’t have to source used LP Custom’s for stupid prices now!

Not sure what models they offered previously, but there’s 3 Standard LP’s, 3 Customs, a version of each with P90’s, 3 V’s, 3 335’s and 2 Jr’s.

All they need is an Explorer and it'll be a one stop shop! Loving my late 2022 build with JB/59, hope the new pu's turn out ok but I am not expecting much. How much do they honestly save by not keeping the SD's? Seems a poor decision, imho. But like Rev said, easy enough to swap 'em.

after getting my Greco I'm fine with buying Japanese les pauls.....of course these are not made in Japan though....correct? Love the black and white V's....

Yeah!! Go Edwards!! Love my two. The Japanese know how to rock and their attention to detail is generally very good. They also love baseball. It's like a mini USA! but with very strict cultural rules and panty fetishes.

Usually assembled in Japan with parts made in " Chaina".. I'm ok with that though, technically making sure all the fret dressing and assembly meets their standard and they ensure what is made in china also meets their spec. No different than a lot of big builders I'm sure.

Not sure about Greco or Burny but the Edwards start with the supplies being shipped from Japan to China, ESP opened a small shop in China with about 120-130 staff members who were trained by the ESP Japan team, building takes place their and then they’re sent back to Japan for finishing/set up. I can’t remember anymore what else that small shop handles, it’s not just the Edwards but something like the Edwards and E-II’s or something.

Regardless, I’ll never have an issue ordering new from any of the Japanese sellers for an Edwards. The LPC I got is fucking flawless.

And yeah, I’d be tickled pink if they did an Explorer. Really not sure why they don’t because ESP is surely aware of what they’re EXP’s sell for, used. If they did an Explorer Custom with an ebony board and block inlays I’d never be able to produce semen again, I think my balls would fly out of my sack.

What I would love most is a stealth black Explorer especially with satin black paint, black hardware and ebony board. More in line with something ESP has actually done though would be the alpine white with ebony board and black hardware. Anything like that would be an insta-buy from me. Don’t care what pickups it has because I’d put EMG’s in it.

How do we buy these?

Some buds and myself got them via Reverb, Gakkido was the seller and Jun works for them, that dude is the man. Super easy process, just one payment and Gakkido handles all the customs shit on their end. I paid something like $1030 for my LPC (before the price hike). They’ll probably be closer to $1400-$1500 now, but it varies depending on the Yen.

Yen is at a nice place right now, ¥1 = $0.0075

So a ¥125,000 Edwards V is under $1k!

Your dollar is so strong, these Edwards axes are a no brainer. Pay 15k for a Hammet V or get their black V for 1K. I guess it has block in lays so if you want one with dot inlays, you could probably " custom order" it for a few hundred bucks more. They are kick ass guitars. Wish they did more strat knock offs. I love the LTD I have. I'd want an ESP fat strat.

Gakkido is where I bought my last one. Dealt with Jun. Smooth transaction!
