Effects Loop question

I want to drop my Flashback delay into the effects loop and would like to get some feedback on my setup.

I set the Flashback for buffered bypass, kill-dry ON, and placed it in the parallel loop. My question is, how should I use the FX level on the Flashback vs the signal level on the loop? Should I set both at 50%? Are there any rules of thumb I should consider?

Start at 50% on booth and see if there is a setting that sounds best and produces the least amount of noise. Do the testing with clean and high-gain sounds.

Also try using the switchable/serial loop (of course without kill-dry) or the switchable Send with the the parallel Return (this way you can have your pure amp sound and add the delay via midi).

Also tweak the channel volume, since this sets the volume at the loops Send and see how it affects the sound.

If you want the best sound possible then be open to any setup and don't be biased by thinking that you need to have the pure amp sound. Again it is possible that all these different possibilities and settings of channel-volume/fx-level/return-level sound the same and make the same amount of noise, but at least you tried them all and you know that you are flexible with incorporating other gear in your rig.

With mine the FX level is on 100% and the Hagen's parallel loop is around 9 o'clock. But I like subtile delays.

However, I didn't notice any tone suck with the Flashback's analog dry thru, so in the end for a more convenient setup I finished running it in the serial loop.

I've wondered about this as well. On the Diezel amps, the loop send is the channel volume. With the killdry on, I've always wondered how to set the pedal's FX level vs. the amp's parallel loop level... I've tried fooling around with various settings but just got frustrated and switched back to putting it in the series loop.
