I just took my Morris head over to my tech's house to try some of his cabs.

I am amazed at the sound of his Egnater 2x12. I can't vouch for the Elite 80's (his had a pair of V30's).

Other cabs I tried were a VHT Fatbottom 2x12, Marshall 1960 w/Greenbacks, Orange 2x12, and my Avatar Contemporary 2x12 w/V30 & Greenback.

The Egnater wins hands down IMO for beef while remaining extremely clear. I have to get one of these !
Price is right too

Yep.

I run my QR through one...

BTW, did you take a peek at the back? Just curious if the removable piece was on or off. Its only a narrow opening with it off but it makes a significant difference, really like it that way!

+1 on th cab. I love the bass. My vertical Mesa 2x12 sounds fine but the Eggie cab is even better for a third less money. The Elite 80's are good speakers but they are VERY clear. I popped in one v30 and there is a ton of response from those speakers that goes right to my hands, I love the feel! Do you know if the back was open or closed? Mine is open. I think it sounds 3-D with the back open, really spreads the sound throughout. They are starting to show up used now and I am gonna get one more for a 2x12 stack.

I love mine. I had the back panel off for a little bit but found it almost too bassy so it went back on. That was an amp ago though so I might try it off again.

I have a E80 and ET65 in mine and it kills.

The removable back is a great feature to have  . I think every cab should be set up that way. I've been tempted to half-back my Recto 2x12 vertical, but I'm a hack with woodwork :aww:
