They're made from Birch. I assume they're made in china, so the price is right.

What do you think? Do they sound as good as a 1960?

I tried a used V30 cab, sounded good to me. As good as a 1960. Went with a Rivera instead, but only because the Egnator sold. Rivera is even better though..same build as a Bogner or Diezel.

Bought one for a band mate to use live. He had to quit suddenly due to a family illness, so I started using it to spare my nice Engl Pro cabs from the road. I absolutely love it after it broke in.

Only thing I didn't like about my V30 loaded Tourmaster cab was the batting on the back panel. Sounded like it almost deadened the sound a bit. I took it off and noticed a little more highs coming through. Could be all in my head thinking that was supposed to happen, but in the end it's a well built cab and I'd take it over any MDF Marshall cab.

- Birch ply
- Metal handles

That alone is worth it.

I have a couple of the Rebel 112x cabs.
I love them. Killer 1x12 cab for the money!
The stock Egnater spec'ed Celestions are great as well.

I had the Tourmaster 2X12 and a 1X12 Eggie cab and I loved them both.

The 2X12 was the standout though. Best removable casters I have ever seen, partial open back option, solid build, and lighter than I expected. The only thing I didn't like were the number of screws holding on the back panel. Took forever to open that thing up for speaker swaps.
