There doesn't seem to be many clips around with the Eggie amps live so I thought I'd post this one. This was from a recent show for a new band I'm in. I'll warn you...It's just good old fashioned classic rock, nothing special as far as songs go. It's a long clip too-several songs, but you can skip thru ;)
.... But, the point of this is to hear the Egnater gear live. I used an M4 thru RT2/50 power amp into an old Marshall 412 with X-pattern V30 and old 75s. Both poweramp channels on---one to each side of the cabinet. 5881 on ch1 and E34L on ch2. Most of the time on the EG3/4 module, with treble bleed cap removed from the tube board. Switching between Ch A for rythym and Ch B for leads. Gmaj2 for delay. Guitar is my Goldtop Carvin CS4 w/ an old JB in the bridge.
The singer was playing as well and used my Mod 50 w/another EG3/4 ,unmodded, into a 1x12 cab.
This was recorded with Zoom Q3. I dropped the stereo track into ProTools and added a mastering plug in to level everything out.

I think both amps sound great live, even through the PA in a big room. My apologies again for the regurgitated classic rock :D

Yep---Friggin drummers and soundmen.....Bane of guitarists existence! :D

thanks!

Great playing, as usual!

Would liked to have heard more guitars up front in the mix, too.

70's classic rock is cool, but -dude - I would love to hear you shredding on some 80's rock.

And please tell me you have another non-cover gig - you are too talented not to.

Thank you muchly! I wish the guitars were up in the mix more too, but it was a big room and the Q3 was way in the back. I wondered out into the audience during one of the tunes, Crazy Train IIRC, and the mix was much better than what recorded.

This band covers a lot of stuff and we do some of the 80's shreddy stuff- Night Ranger, Ozzy and some others. But we put this together to be easy to do--no brainer tunes--so we can pull out whatever we want on any given night. I did the 80's shred thing for a good while, but it isn't as fun as it used to be. Most of these gigs are for the places that want people up and dancing so the guitar hero stuff isn't really gonna work with that.

I have been doing non cover gigs for years. It's a rough market. I've been fortunate enough to work with some great artists over the years on a session basis and some touring but honestly, it's not easy to sustain an original project unless a lot of pieces fall into place at the right time. But, I am big in Japan   .
