can you guys link me to this blackstar amp? Only ones I can find on GC's site are 1100+ usd. I am curious about this mini stack.

I just watched a few vids on Youtube of this thing. Wow! I am really impressed. I don't have $500 though for the entire stack. Sell the head on it's own GC!

Well, after using the HT5 and comparing it to my HT Dual pedal going through a little Vox DA5 set to clean and out to a 112, I decided to return the HT5 to GC. If I had just gotten the head, I would have kept it. I found the cabs to be of little use compared to my 112 and 212 cabs. And running the the HT Dual through the 5 watt DA5 set to clean gave me essentially the same tones as the HT5. By running the signal through the DI of the DA5 and into my Marshall/212cab, I got tones that were much better than the HT5.

So for all you guys that only want the head, grab an HT Dual pedal and run it through your favorite amp set to clean at a low volume. You will essentially have the tone of the HT5 pre amp going through a better power section and speakers. And the pedal is only $199.

that is a pretty good VH clip nice sizzle in the gain channel.
