Backstory:

Bought this amp last month. Played it for an hour. Got lost in work. Wife went to the movies last night and left me home alone :flame: I tweaked the knobs to taste, messed around with it and a couple of my other cabs, and then went back and recorded about 7 minutes of playing thru the channels (some of it is not pretty, so bear with me).

If you're like me and short of time:

Skip to around 2 minutes or so to begin getting to the slabs of meat. Feel free to listen to the me babbling on and on before that point only if you have time to waste

 sounds great

Because of my connection out here...it took about 45 mins to load the vid, but well worth it. Great sounding vids!

Very cool video and playing! The half stack sounds pretty much like the combo just a little bigger.

No problem Chris. It's a good place for me to spend some time when I have it, so why not others
I bought the Egnater stuff to tryout in my own environment as I was able to score a great deal on it. It has earned a right to stay amongst my other higher dollar amps (ENGL Special Edition, Mesa TriAxis, THD Flexi-50, VHT Ultra-Lead). It hangs in some areas but, not necessarily in others but, is half the price of the other channel switchers so they better do something better!

Nice playing there Ivan, I like the video and thanks on your info on the various cabs.

Have you had a chance to try the Egnater TourMaster combo? Seems like a cool amp. Didn't get much time with it, though.

I like it much more than the head!

Really? Hmmm... What is it about the combo that makes you like it more? Is it closed back?

Yup it's closed back, it has Thump! No kidding it really rumbles yet still projects the mids in one package! Especially when moving some air!

I've not tried a Tourmaster combo. I know I don't like a MOD 50 combo and I love a MOD 50 head. I don't look at 2X12 combos seriously. I MUCH prefer a head/2X12 cab set up to a 2X12 combo for flexibility and tonal reasons.

Ya I do not like our MOD 50 1x12 either. But our head with our sealed ported oversize 1x12 kills. so we duct tape them together and make it a combo!

Looks and sounds awesome, Ivan! You are one of my favorite players on the boards and I always look forward to new clips.

Did you ever get to try the Egnater amp that used modules? I'm not sure but I believe it has been discontinued. I was always intrigued by that amp. I was just wondering how it compared to the Tourmaster. Again, great job!

Might eventually have to get a Tourmaster head if bild quality is the same as the modules as far as quality parts. I think the big difference is where it is built. Either way, have to try one. Can you use two different sets of tubes, hence EL34s with 6L6s?

Due to the power grid you can only use 6L6's. If you load with any other tube you can only use the amp on 100 watts
