ISP was only in the Armegeddon IIRC....

What did Splawn steal the show with? Is he bringing something new to market besides the Quickrod and Nitro lines?

What!!??!!! Couple of hours ago it said IN STOCK and ready to ship!!!

Products that get so delayed make me wonder...........these were supposed to be out in the summer originally.
And the made in China bit is a concern for long term reliability. Or is that a mindset which should be let go off now......

It was in stock until I snagged it. I was interested in the armageddon 2 years ago but it kept getting pushed back. Just a curiosity move.

They did not appear to have added to their line of amps. I just liked them much better than anything else I tried.

Seems the Armegeddon is a "Best Seller" but doesn't ship until 1/6/12.....
Is that because of pre-orders?

My Vengeance is sitting in it's box in my car. If only work would let me go home. And no I'm not telling you where I'm parked. :)

Well I might be biased because I own Egnater gear which I love, but I think these amps specially the Armageddon will be a TOTAL HIT. not only for the GC noobie crowd....but the more seasoned musician. I've heard the Arm. will cost 1,600 or something close to that amount, that STUPID cheap for an amp with a great built quality, packed full of features that sounds phenomenal.

:D

I'm horrible at describing tone, so subjective. Control layout is very similar to the Renegade I used to have, and like the Renegade I'm glad that the effects loop is switchable between channels as is the mid toggle on each channel. All the toggle switches make a noticeable difference like all of Bruce's amps that I've owned. Channel 1 reminds me a lot of the Renegade, stays very clean on the lower gain stage and has nice breakup on the higher gain side, it doesn't really hit crunch territory for me.

Channel 2 is really nice. It has very nice balance throughout the range of the instrument with good note definition and the tight switch is perfect for switching between rhythm and lead. In fact I wish it was foot switchable. I'm not sure what amp to compare it to, out of what I've owned, I'd say maybe the bastard child of an Uberschall and Soldano Avenger. Nice and thick even on higher notes on leads which is what makes me think Soldano. Gain wise, I understand the Armageddon will have an additional gain stage, but I find that at about 1 o'clock on the higher gain setting I'm about where I play my Fireball which has the gain at 11 o'clock. I did dime it for a minute and it gets pretty saturated, not my kind of tone, but it's there for those who like that sort of thing.

I like that they changed the faceplate from the one they are using on the Armageddon, this one has a cloth front and the logo looks like brushed steel. Feels well built. It is pretty noisy on higher gain settings, I have an ISP in the loop, since the Vengeance doesn't have one like the Armageddon. My biggest gripe is that just like the Renegade it has a noisy fan. The DI seems to work well but if you wanted to mic it you better have more of a studio type setup (ie. cab in another room from the head).

For the price I think it is an excellent amp, I think Bruce will have another hit on his hands with these.

Btw...If anyone is curious the manual is posted on the website.
