From what I understand it is the same amp as the armageddon except for the isp noise gate and it has a mid knob where the vengeance has a 3 way mid switch.
Really enjoying it. The construction feels solid, I don't see any problems with the build quality, though I haven't pulled the chassis from the head shell. The knobs feel like the same ones I had on my Diezel Einstein. As far as cost, a Peavey 6505 or 6534 costs about the same and has a pretty close set of features.
I don't want to judge this amp from one shitty clip, but I didn't like that at all. sounded like scratchy poo. I love the Renegade and have high hopes for these new amps so I'll reserve judgement for now.
yup, I didn't like it much either but I just know the amp is mic'd with a single 57...... I NEVER like amps mic'd with a single 57 for demos....... SM57 work great when you put the track in a mix....but by themselves it sounds like SHIT!
Just got done playing one....I thought the vengeance was killer! Will post a a reviews in a bit. The cleans were amazing just flat out awesome...and the gain was tighter than a frogs ass....best head I've ever heard for around 1k new by far
