Einstein Footswitch LED circuit.

I have one of the newer Einstein 50W heads having previously sold an older one (Regretted that immediately).

The foot switch no longer has LEDS in it which I found very useful. Does anyone have a circuit diagram/instructions for adding LEDS to the foot switch circuit?

The Einstein is and will always be my preferred sound.
 
I didn't know that the newer Einstein foot switches had no LEDs.

I have the older original one, but the foot switch stopped working.

I now use two generic foot switches that have LED's in them.

Sorry I don't have a schematic.
 
Hey Goober.

I had the same issue, find it difficult to not have footswitch LED's.

I contacted Peter and got the answer regarding which is tip and ring on the Channel / Master.

It was easy to fit, can't find the mail now that details it. Easy enough, just buy some LED's and with the function of the switch engaged (amp turned on, or on standby) touch the LED's to the relevant footswitch contacts, when it lights up you know you got the right ones. You can't hurt the amp doing this.

You don't need to add resistors or anything like that. That was suggested to me on here but Peter said no need.

If you get no joy I can take a picture of the internals in mine and send you it?

Hardest bit was drilling the case, Tough steel....

No worries Peter.

I forgot also. I used flying leads from footswitch contacts to LED's when installing. When attaching to LED shape the wire into a loop, tin it first thus enabling you to solder to the LED quickly , or it can get too hot and cause damage.

Also you can get LED case mounts that are best bet for resilience against hard stomping!!!

I found the mail from Peter last night, Tip of the plug is channel, ring is master.

On the LED's the longer leg is Positive.

I promised Peter that I would not touch a soldering iron again, so I threw mine away.

If it would be not to much bother a picture of the inside of your pedal would be very cool.

Just been with James (Diezel UK) blasting an Einstein through a half closed back Diezel 2x12 loaded with Vintage 30's. I am not usually an open back fan, but the Diezel half open is something special, has the fullness you get from a closed but its a little more open (hard to put fully into words). You can spec and buy the 2x12 with a two peace back panel and have the choice.
