hEY ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH tUNG sOL 12AX7S. JUST ORDERED 4 AND ALSO ORDERED A JAN 5751 I READ THAT C-4 IS USING A 5751 TO TAME CH 2 ON THE EINSTIEN I KNOW ITS PERSONAL BUT ANY ONE GOT ANYTHING TO ADD

No experience with the 5751, but I'm not a fan of the Tung Sols. They're a touch too bright and harsh sounding to my ears. However, I've never tried 'em in a Diezel so they may be a perfect fit! Tons of folks love 'em that's for sure. Tone is very subjective so take my comments with a grain of salt

I had to replace a 5751 in V-2 last weekend. It lasted only about 4 months.
I definitely prefer NOS Mullards, NOS Telefunkens and NOS RFT's in my Diezels. No more 5751's for me, thank you very much.

While the Chinese tubes hold up nicely, I do not prefer the tone they put out.

Using lower powered preamp tubes also allows the amp to breathe more to my old ears. I have so much saturation available on all Diezel amps that I will never take advantage of, that I find I get a clearer, more sustained tone with just as much bite by using the lower output preamp tubes.

Only your ears will ultimately tell you if you desire these tones as I do.
