What does the "B" stand for when I see EL34B? How are they sonically different if at all?

Here ya go:

VOC-ROCK-GUITARS

"We have been asked by several customers "what is the difference between an EL34B and the standard EL34?". The answer is that the B variant is a larger bottle, higher power, higher spec version of the standard EL34."

I use Ruby EL34BSTR tubes in all my amps and love them...

Regular EL34's look anemic next to the B's. I've got a really thin pair of EH34's in my Recto right and they match up great with the sometimes overly thick roar of the Recto.

Only played the TAD EL34B STR. Differences between them and standard EL34 equates to extended lows (bigger bottle), slight spike in higher mids, mostly and possibly an increase in clarity.

Are they more tight? I had tung sol's EL34B's in my splawn once and I remember them sounding bigger, but too damn tight for me. Was thinking of trying the E34L JJ's...

I have the E34L JJ's and they sound nice to my ears but are they comparable to these B's?? Im starting to gas again .

You know Laura at http://www.valvequeen.com right?

She tests her tubes in her Splawns.

I got some SED =C= EL34s from her last time and I'm thinking either JJ EL34L or those Ruby BSTRs

Can't really beat the =C= in my opinion.
