Hello!

In my Rebel 30 tubes EL84 are ringing but not from speaker (I test some of pair EL84).
This "bzzzzzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzzzzzzz" sounds from chasis when I play palm muting or another bass sounds.
When I stabilise tubes with my hands this buzz stop.

On the shows I dont hear this becouse amps play loud but in studio or home this ringing is awful :(

Please, help me with this problem.

ps. sorry for my "english".

You could try swapping out the tubes and see what happens. :dunno:

Without EL84 tubes (only with 6v6) head are not ringing.

Sounds like bad tubes...Try different ones...

Are the tube retainer clips causing this chassis buzz? Are they loose?

Like I wrote... I check this with a few pairs of EL84 and everytime is the same.

No, Rebel 30 dont have tube retainer clips.

is it a mechanical buzzing of something vibrating or is it an electrical buzzing...

mechanical from tubes el84 - when I stabilise tubes with my hand buzzing lost.

hmmm...strange...how do you stabilize the tubes by hand without getting burnt :)

Anyway, have you checked the sockets? do they appear loose? Maybe take the chassis out of the head and visually inspect for any loose parts on the inside by the tube sockets with the tubes in place(make sure amp is off obviously)

If all else fails, I'd give Egnater a call and see what they say...

Combo amp?

not uncommon. I would try what the above poster suggested. Or find another way to stabilize the tubes.

Hello my friends, thanks for you info!

I have head, not combo.

Stabilise hand with glove and abour a few seconds :)

Yes, this sound is rattle!
EuroDamper Tube Damper Rings? THANKS - perhaps this can help me. I will buy it.

I thinking about this situation and asking why Egnater dont give tube retainer clips to amps with el84?
