I'm looking to add an FX processor to my rig. Probably a G Major.

Can a Eleven Rack be used as effects processor in a guitar rig? I'm kinda hoping that it can that way i get effects plus a recording device.

Are the Eleven Racks effects on par with G Major? Would the Eleven Rack suck or color tone?

Well, I wouldn´t call either of them a particularly good FX processor, but if you need to do a lot of things simultaneously and have stuff like compression and EQ as well they´re OK. As for the 11R I suppose it boils down to whether you can bypass the amp and cab sims, I can´t really remember.

They will both color the tone, as just about anything that has AD/DA conversion does... that´s where parallel loops or splitter-mixer systems come into play.

Well, that thread sure was a mess ;) Seems like it at least works, but if you want it primarily for the FX it seems kind of like the wrong way to go with all the options out there.

I had it. I never got the delay/reverb love for this or how the company emphasizes it. I found it almost muddy in a sense. In bypass it didn't color the tone too much. Has midi, is 2U. Has compressor (bad idea in the loop except for very weird setups in my opinion,) eq (very good parametric).

Overall very good to give a polished production sheen to the guitar amp raw sound, not so great effects, limited variety, I can't remember about tap tempo. It didn't have harmonizer and graphic if those are of importance.

Fuck it! I'd get the g major or the older intellipitch which mixes the signal analog with digital time based effects and doesn't digitize the whole preamp signal. But if the chip on some of those models goes, it's just a book stand after...

If one doesn't know if the amp sims turn off, I can't imagine there was a lot of time spent on 11R
Yes the amp & cab sims turn off
There IS a graphic EQ & para EQ which are solid
It works well in 4cm
If you need a recording interface, there's a lot to like here:reamping, great bass tones, solid cleans
No it's not eventide fx, but it's like 300 bucks! Great versatile unit
I sold mine for a Kemper, but may pick up another one as it serves many purposes

I'm mainly interested in the 11R for recording....if it can double as an FX rack that a plus as I wouldnt need to buy a G Major.
I play in a Slayer tribute band so FX arent really needed but every once in a while I like some delay, pitch shift, or eq in the loop.

GSP1101 in 4cm. Decent little processor that could be had for like 2bills. Cheers, Lucius
