Emailed Pete Lesperance a question about his rig

I was just checking out his website the other day and noticed he has a guitar shop page where you can email him questions and such. So being a gear nerd, I did. He emailed me back within 30 minutes and posted the reply soon after.

Yeah, I've seen random videos of him using Line 6 stuff and he sounds great with it.

Pete is wicked and a fellow Canadian..

the older stuff just rocks ..if you dont have Mood Swings ,Karma cleansing and dig thier melodic side those are just great cds.

His lead tone and a lot of his playing reminds me of Vai,
I find that the Egnater stuff especially the 3/4 module reminds me of his tone .A lil Darker, warm ,and super smooth

He makes Line 6 stuff sound good!

I asked him a few years ago about his gear, and he was using the old red-faced original Line 6 heads, mostly the British and the modern sims.

A lot of people used that old HD 150 essentially pod 2.0 head ..
and it was always the same models.

Leverty from Firehouse , was the Brit hi gain ,and the Modern hi gain(slo sim)

DJ Ashba same models . probably explains why the put the MHG back in the POd X3
