I am thinking of moving on from my JSX finally not because I don't like it a lot but i'm kind of getting ready for a different sound. I want something that will work well with my existing rig and let me switch the channels with my gt8 and I believe the Blackmore will fit this bill. I'm looking for a great clean and a nice heavy tone that can do the old school vibe up thru slightly modern stuff. Will this amp do the trick? I have no way to try one before I buy unfortunately and I know a lot of amps look great on paper but fall short when I try them.

I think you would dig the Blackmore. They pretty much always sell for $1300-1400 used. Pretty hard to find a used one though, might have to look for a while.

I also think you would like the Blackmore. I bought mine a few years ago after hearing all of the great clips posted. There are some good clips posted on the rocksolidamps web-site. You should check them out.

BTW....how do you like your G-Flex with the Govs?? I have Hellatone 30/60 mix in mine.

I have heard all of Derek's clips and I REALLY like them. Mark, i'm not in a huge hurry as I have an amp now I really like i'm just ready for something different. I know new they are around $1600 so maybe i'll just do that and give Derek some business over at Rocksolid since he is a great guy to deal with. Any issues with the effects loop or anything else anyone doesn't like about them?

As far as the Governors I really like them in my 2x12, they mix great with my 4x12.

The effect loop is good on them. I personally don't have any issues with the Blackmore. I know some people complain about the shared EQ for all the channels, but I never had a problem with that. Can't really think of anything else, it seems to be an amp that most people really dig when they play it.

The shared eq thing wouldn't bother me in the least since I would basically have one heavy tone and one clean most of the time. As long as the loop and everything else is solid i'd be fine. I have been thinking about one of these on and off forever now so i'm hoping I can nail one down this year finally. Thanks for the help Mark I remember hearing your clips and they sounded great from way back when of this amp.
