I had a FB 60..........actually two and a Powerball. I'd like to try the 100 sometime........but I got rid of my last ENGL after it gathered dust when I got back into MTS. That said the MTS is second fiddle to my Axe-FX so.............whadeva......

But I bet you (Dano) jump back on the MTS wagon when the Fireball module is released.......you won't be able to contain yourself.......I knows this......

I still have the Randall. Just boxed up and up for sale. I cant go any lower on the price so if it dont sell....
It will go to Egnater for the Dual channel mod one day.

Been with the Egnater/Randall camp on FIVE different times now!
Guess I just needed to get my METAL GROOVE on with a new flavor of the month!
But honestly this New Engl sounds CRUSHING and I have owned the Invader 150 in the past and that sounded great, this one just kicks its ass!
My band just seems to be doing more metal these days. And wanted something to kick me into overdrive.
Love getting a new amp though.......

The clips sound kinda STERILE compared to being in front of it. It is a BAD ASS!
I guess when you dis-engage the mid boost that is 'supposed' to be the Fireball 60 tone?
Not sure. It is sorta scooped and you have to kick the volume up a little but it gets heavy REALLY quick.
I like running the gain about noon and doing the Hair metal stuff. Sounds great on that amp.
I had the camera setting on a stool about 3 feet away from the cab. Volume was pretty low. I wasnt even sure how it would turn out so I didnt bother to 'edit' or anything. Just uploaded and placed it here.
The tone turned out better than I thought with that Piece of shit camera. But oh well........

Thats a great price.
I know that House of Engl was selling them on clearance for $1450 or something like that.
Really is a full blown metal amp but I like how it sounds on the other stuff we play as well.

congrats on the new amp, seems like a few others in this thread liked the amp also, i havent really paid much attention to it lately but im glad to see people are digging it. if i was ever gonna buy another engl i would definately try a fb100. im sure i would like the tone.

Now I had it over a week. Got off the UBER GAIN trip. Now, lets see how VERSATILE IT IS!
2 Channel amp. When I take the gain down to 3.......on the lead channel.....
Its the best HOT ROD MARSHALL style tone!! Great for Hair metal to old EVH tones.
Very Very ARTICULATE. I actually been digging the "lower" gain side of this amp.
But the LOWER GAIN kills off alot of the old amps I had that were MAXED out on the gain.
Really is a KICK ASS AMP!! Very versatile. NOT JUST A METAL AMP.....(but it does EXCELL THERE!!)

Same with my Powerball. I rarely take it off the clean channel and find that a decent boost pedal and strategic use of the master volume turns it into a roaring monster. Lower gain on the Engl's kicks ass.
