I just got one and I LOVE it!!!
Tiny and portable, still loud as hell, great gain for days, very good compensated line out, headphones out, 25/5/1/off attenuation, good loop, gain boost, nice clean channel, reverb....exactly what I need.
Tone wise I find it between the fireball and the savage; not as saturated as the fireball and more organic and less compressed than the savage . Marshally tone . Takes Passives better than actives I feel for some reason. Tweakability is closer to the fireball. Lack of sepearate eqs is a bummer, but givens the space limitations it's understandable. Another thing I would would like is a separate gcrunch channel, like the upcoming h&k 32wattnchbox, forgot its name.
Overall, I'm super happy and don't feel bad about selling my savage ( although if I had the space and cash would def keep it!!) and I recommend it. For my needs, my favorite Engl so far.

Cool... Thanks for the info. I think i might pick one up for just studio use. Overall the clips have been promising for that ENGL vibe...

Was your savage the post-2012 version with improved transformers?

Yup (still around, maybe i'll plug it in again an re-assess after the ironball honeymoon is over!).
I'm just talking low volume comparisons BTW.
