I just saw a video demo of the ENGL Special Edition E670 and was floored by the features and options on this amp. Does anyone here have any experience with this amp?

The E530 is hands down the best value for dollar in the whole Engl lineup.Business":7m0913o5 said:I've owned the E570 preamp, granted it's not the same as the head version, it's pretty similar.
I wasn't a fan of the tone, especially for the price. Sure, there's like a gazillion switches and options, but it's not versatile at all. Pretty much every setting has the same voicing, whether you use a lot of gain or less. I doesn't do good crunch tones, it only does modern metal well. Might as well get a Fireball 100, as it does the job at half the price. I still own my E530 preamp and think it's a great unit for the money.

i wasnt happy with the build quality for the price and had issues with mine, i sold them but ive seen others that are happy with it. so maybe i owned a dud.

i cant recommend this amp when its 4000 new and has a 1 yr warranty, but for 2k i can justify it.
I bought an ENGL after reading some of your reviews of the ENGLs you owned in the pastLes Zombie":1qh3xo5c said:great sounding metal amp, i owed 2 of them and really liked the tones.

I read a lot of your post detailing your experience with ENGL, I would feel the same way as you if I were treated the way you wereLes Zombie":30n9oshn said:hellaboogie":30n9oshn said:I bought an ENGL after reading some of your reviews of the ENGLs you owned in the pastLes Zombie":30n9oshn said:great sounding metal amp, i owed 2 of them and really liked the tones.

i played engls for about 5 yrs staight and owned most of them, i always used to recommend them to people and my friends, but that was years ago and i havent owned one in years because of the way they treated me. its a long story and i cant be bothered going into it, hopefully they have changed things in the last couple years and will try and help their loyal customers better.
