Congress is closed due to Mike Johnson avoiding a vote on releasing the Epstein files. Democrat Rep. Grijalva is the final vote required. She was elected on Sept 23 2025 and still hasn't been sworn in, due to Republican fears about releasing the Epstein files.

So in other words democrats are unwilling to vote for a continuing resolution, knowing that this stupid bitch will be sworn in if they do, because of the Epstein files they chose not to release before the 2024 election when it could have hurt Trump the most.

The CR has nothing to to with Congress being closed. In every other CR shutdown, Congress remained active. It's solely Mike Johnson avoiding the Epstein vote that is keeping Congress closed.
