EQ pedal options... MXR vs Empress ParaEQ, vs... ect

These are 2 pedals that I have really really had my eye on for a long while now... but my question would be to those who have tried both of these. Is there any justification to why the Empress is worth all the extra scratch? Im guessing there are older versions of the MXR 10 band EQ... so which version should I be on the lookout for, or does it really even matter? I might just try to find both of these used and do a quick comparison, but would love to hear anyone's opinions on these 2 in specific, and yes... please feel free to throw in a couple more that might even be better than these, Im always game.

I don't have any experience with the two you mentioned, but I've got a Danelectro Fish and Chips 7 Band eq on my board that's not going anywhere. It's very hard to beat for the scratch, takes up minimal space on the board too. Don't overlook it. Good luck, man.

This. I've had my Fish n' Chips for 6 years now. Never had a problem.
