Ernie Ball Strings

I have been using paradigm strings for a while, but I have decided I would like to try something new. I looked up online to see what stings would give me the brightest tone and I found that it would be custom gauge stainless steel strings. Is there any difference between the steel that paradigm is made of and the stainless steel that the custom gauge stings are made of? I also like the nickle super slinkys, but I haven't tried the custom gauge. What stings out of the three would be the best for Metallica tones or something thrashy?

You aren't gonna get any special Metallica tones or anything else from strings besides comfort and longevity.

I like stringJoy strings a lot. Cranky turned me on to these.
