Hey Guys,

I am getting ready to place my opening ESP order for my shop at KingGuitar.com and would like the focus group of RT to chime in with opinions, thoughts etc on a custom run I think would be cool but I am not sure if the market is there to do it.

I am contemplating doing a special run of ESP Eclipse II's in full body thickness like a Les Paul (like the Japan only guitar) in the versions shown below.

No obligation but I am just trying to gauge interest before I commit to the run. I personally love the Eclipse II but always wanted it to be full size, full body. If I do this I am going to keep one of each for myself.

So post up if you think this is a guitar that you might be interested in picking up at a price point around $2Kish  or if you think not so much?

As badass as they are, and as much as I'd like to have one... I'm hesitant to vote yes because I'm pretty certain I wont be able to afford one this year.

I have an LTD 400VF with a JB in bridge and a 59 in neck and it full thickness. I love it ,sounds great. For 2500.00 how much better are these guitars than an LTD?

I love the antique black, but it would all just depend on the price. It'd have to be a hell of a deal for me to buy new over used.

Same here.

I hear ya, I have no clue to how much they are going to charge me for the full thickness. A regular one starts at like $1700 street and goes up to like $2100 with the Floyd. I am thinking these will be like $2K sale price but I am not sure yet.

Depending on final price, I could go for a Floyded one.

 i had an eclipse 11..and in my opinion ,they are really good guitars,,the neck feels great ,very comfortable..you can feel the quility in the guitar..( played and felt alot better than alot of les pauls i played)..i wouldnt hesitate to pick up another ,if i was looking for a great les paul alternative

I'll play devil's advocate...if I'm looking for an LP alternative, I think an Edwards with the 4-knob layout and "correct" headstock for half the price would be more tempting to me than one of these...

gotta agree there..if you want a eclipse you probably like that thickness and layout ,if you want lp style you get a edwards or a lp

The LTD EC1000T is a well executed LP alternative for half the money. Not sure if I would pay double for a little more detailing. Maybe for a really nice figured top...

going sale price on the street for an Eclipse II is $1399-1699. (full price is 16, but you can always get a discount on them it seems).

I want a Full Thickness, but would probably never want to, or expect to pay more than $1600 for one, $2K-2500 seems too much.

an ltd is jsut as good.. and ALOT cheaper in price.. and looks the same.. i wouldnt pay 1000-1300 more for something when i can get the same thing for less...your common working middle class worker would get an LTD.. but if i had 2k to throw away i would still get a LTD.. lol

I'd just about kill for a Silverburst Full thickness 4 knob.

Hell any full thickness Eclipse would be sick, I miss my import one badly.

Would you be dealing Edwards guitar too? They have some killer LP's and Explorer for the Japanese market namely the
John Sykes LP and satin brown explorer.

i have a an eclipse II... i have played many and they all very so much in wieght. I wish i had one in full thickness.

I own a fullthickness eclipse and love it, i like it way better than my regular thickness ec and i wished all esclipse was ft. They are great guitars, even though its a les paul shape it doesnt sound like a les paul but has more of a modern tone and the feel is different, the reason i mention that is so somebody doesnt think a fullthickness is gonna be like a gibson.
