ESP HRF, anyone played one of these?

Looking to purchase a guitar with a hardtail and tune it down a step. The ESP HRF has caught my attention and looks great, like the hardware choices and the 3x3 tuners. Don't care for active pickups and it comes with Blackouts, I never played them but never cared for EMG's. If anyone has played or owned one let me know what you think. Thanks

I have a wine red one i love a lot. It's probably the best playing guitar I own and the factory fit and setup is top notch..

the blackouts sound perfect in it, it seems to sound fatter than my les paul standard at about half the weight.

This is pretty much the same as a ESP Horizon NTII except with a different headstock and the SD.Black Outs. ESP Horizons play like butter!!! Great guitars!!

I am going to check around locally to see if anybody has the HRF or NT-II in stock and check one out. I think I played a NT a few years back and liked the body shape and the neck carve.

They play great. I love my NTII. Different tone than most of my other guitars. Just trying to find the right pickup's for this guitar. Just got the MCP Garuda's in two days ago and need to install them. I wish they had the ESP HRF when I ordered my ESP NTII since I prefer that headstock to the standard one. Here are pics of my ESP. It is a shred machine, but can do much more.

that's an interesting NTII....didn't know they came with a flamed top. Mine was an 08 I believe and all of the DBSB ones i've seen have had quilted tops....what year is yours? is it a European/export model?

They typically don't but I had the color and flame special ordered in 2011. I finally got it in 2012 due to the whole Tsunami issue in Japan.
