esp ltd ec 1000 vs ec 401 fm

I have a 501 and it's exactly the same as the 1000 minus the abalone trim, flame top, locking tuners and tonespro bridge. The price difference is in the those things.
No tonal improvment in my opinion.
 
I have a deal on a b-stock aqua blue 401 fm for $370.
 
do it - there is really no difference aside from a few cosmetic appointments
