as some of you may know, my mom got me a guitar for my birthday/christmas present, one reason being she didnt get me anything for last christmas, which wasnt a big deal to me but hey...its my mom and i dont go against her! LMAO!

anyways, the guitar (Jackson DX10 Dinky) arrived, and although it was a scratch n' dent, it was BEAUTIFUL. transparent blue with a GORGEOUS flame maple veneer...and i mean it was very nicely bookmatched, nearly flawless! a few pick scrapes, but otherwise the guitar was perfect...except for a broken headstock!!! thanks UPS...

anyways, i found another one, for nearly the same amount, blemished of course...but started looking into other guitars (like the ESP i mentioned) and was blown away by the fact that the M200 was neck-thru, and only 420 bucks  now i played a Hammet KH-202 LTD that just wasnt impressive at all to me...but this M200 looks sweet and being neck-thru, is just amazing for the price! id throw a bill to my mom to cover the additional cost...but what i wanna know is...

1) how do the 200 models stack up? like i said, i didnt like that Hammett at all really...the neck was nice, but it just didnt "feel" right. ive played a DX10 before, and it was a fine guitar for the money...would this ESP do me right as well?
2) how are the licensed Floyds on ESPs? that Hammett wouldnt stay in tune, but the strings were OLD and the floyd was not set up correctly...i like my jackson trem, i have no problems with it, and neither do 2 other people i know personally. do the ESP trems stay in tune after abuse as well? if so...i have no qualms about getting it.
3) how do the necks stack up to Jackson's? i know its probably flat, which is a requirement, but how wide are they? would this be like the Hammett neck, or does anyone know if it would be thinner on the back, more like a Jackson?

ok, anything else i might have missed...i dunno...just tell me anything you can about the LTD M200 models...cuz im uber curious! and i wouldnt mind having an ESP/LTD in the stable, if it meets my requirements!

thanks guys VIVA LA RIG-TALK! :)

The LTD neck won't be as thin as the Jackson, but it will be wide and flat, fast. I would say the lower end trems are very similar, set them up right and it will be ok. IMHO I would normally try to get up to the 400 series with LTD. I've found those models to be great guitars, some rival their ESP counterpart. With Jackson I'd look at the DK2 or DK2m. It's a bit of a step up in money but both are totally worth it.

I had a Jackson Dx10. FS

Traded it for LTD M-50. The neck is a little thicker on the ESP but I favor the ESP highly over the Jackson. Sounds better, plays better. And stays in tune after some floyd abuse better.

Now I just need to thin out the neck or replace it lol.

But if your looking at 400 or better than I dont think you can go wrong over the low end dinky
